FREMANTLE CITY RSL DEVELOPING ACTIVE AFGHANISTAN MEMORIAL

The Fremantle City RSL Sub Branch is developing an Active Afghanistan Memorial (AAM) Project in Fremantle. The AAM Project is being driven by ex-service personal seeking to honour the Australian and New Zealand servicemen and women who lost their lives during operations in
the Afghanistan War.

The AAM Project will deliver a cutting edge memorial that encourages exercise and fitness while also providing a place of active reflection. The memorial will honour the fallen with their service details, as well as a summary of the Australian and New Zealand contingents' campaigns, detailed on a plaque and recited over a speaker system (when activated by people on the exercise equipment).
